Ramon Riley
Our very own North Side Studio Director is participating in the upcoming Mattress Factory's Urban Garden Party Auction, where his painting Gingko is now on view and up for auction. April Friges
Susquehanna studio member and Point Park professor of photography April Friges has been busy with exhibitions, grants and more. Last weekend her non-objective color photographers were exhibited at the Silver Eye Center for Photography's booth during the PGH Photo Fair at the Carnegie Museum; she also won over $8,000 from the Investing in Professional Artists grants program to support the completion of the “Untitled Color” photographic works from her “Spectator” series. Later this summer she's headed to MASS MoCA for a four-week residency. Check out Friges' newsletter online.

Karen Lillis
Our member Karen Lillis announced a new publication: an excerpt from her forthcoming bookstore memoir appears in May issue of The Brooklyn Rail. From 1997 to 2005 Lillis worked at St. Mark’s Bookshop in New York City, which she writes, "anchored my life, just as it did for the many New Yorkers who made the bookshop a regular destination—customers who came needing books or people, readers hoping to run into old friends or new lovers."

Nicole Renee Ryan
Another member of the Radiant Hall family is showing work at Three Rivers Arts Fest! Ryan's booth this year will feature new oils (last year she presented a display of watercolor paintings; below).

Super proud of Nova Place member Crystal Latimer! She won the Emerging Artist Scholarship Award for this year's Three Rivers Arts Festival. Latimer works mainly in the two dimensional mediums (painting, drawing, collage) but has also extended her recent practice to include ceramic tile.
