Zachariah Szabo, a native of Akron, OH, currently resides on the North Side of Pittsburgh, PA. He received his MFA in Photography in 2013 from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. His work explores the ideas of loss, nostalgia and identity through the use of photography, video and installation/sculpture. Much of his practice involves exploration of site and object, sometimes in relationship to a figure, with thorough consideration and curation prior to pressing the shutter release. His work has been shown internationally and collected privately in the US, Europe and Asia.
